All four of our teams (9/10 boys, 11/12 boys, 11/12 girls and 13/14 boys) won at Distrcits! See everyone at Nationals! A few of our athletes traveled down to Louisville, KY to compete in the very competitive Middle School National Championships. Zara Williams finished 31st and was the fastest 6th grade girl in the 4K race. On the boy’s side we had 6 athletes and our team finished 8th out of 29 teams. In a field of 325, Morgan Byford placed 22nd (fastest 6th grader), Patricio Pardo placed 29th, William Byford placed 46th, Cavan Kootman placed 55th, Henry Dresser placed 153rd, and Dexter Britton placed 274th. Congrats to every 7L athlete who ran in their private or public middle school championships. At the MD Private State Champs, Grace Love, Emma Pham, and Clara Aschenbach went 1, 2, and 3 on the girls side. Emma Waterman placed 10th. On the boys side, Morgan Byford, William Byford, and Cavan Kootman went 2, 3, and 4, and Henry Dresser and Graham Wilson went 11 and 12. At the Frost Invitational, Livy Dickerson came in second and Grace Greszler came in 10th for girls, and Patricio Pardo came in 1st for boys. Great job to everyone at our Halloween-themed meet today! Hope everyone enjoyed the finish line candy! We dominated the middle school VA XC Showcase, which both our girls and boys teams placing 1st! 🚨NEW JERSEYS!!!🚨 We might only be 2 weeks and 2 meets into the season, but we’re already doing amazing and having a great time. It’s official! Congratulations to Seven Locks athlete Katie Morey on breaking the 1600 meter and 3200 meter Churchill HS outdoor records and 7Locks High School coach Nate Swanson on breaking the Churchill HS Steeplechase record. We had a great first day of practice yesterday with so many new and returning athletes! Looking forward to an amazing season! Spots are filling up fast! We are already at 70% capacity.
