Summer 2022 – National Champion with a National Record, 4 All-Americans, and more at AAU Junior Olympics

Last year we had 14 athletes qualify for Nationals, this year 31! Congratulations to all and especially the following exceptional athletes.

7LRC National Champion and National Record

Our very own, 11-year-old Patricio Pardo, set the 3K National Record in a time of 9:48.26. He broke the record last set in 2003 by 7 seconds and is this year’s National Champion! Patricio continued to have a great meet by placing 2nd in the 1500 meters in a time of 4:44 and 4th place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.  

7LRC All-American Medals

  • 11-year-old Patricio Pardo – 3000 meters National Champion and National Record Holder, 2nd place in the 1500 meters, and 4th place in the 800 meters
  • 11-year-old Grace Love – 4th place in the 3000 meters
  • 11-year-old Clara Aschenbach – 5th place in the 1500 meters
