AAU Cross Country National Championships

At AAU Cross Country National Championships in Knoxville, TN, 7LRC had a tremendous showing.

4 National Champions

  • Emma Pham – 9-year-old girl – Emma’s perfect season culminated in this National Champion title having gone undefeated throughout the fall.

  • Grace Love – 11-year-old girl – This is Grace’s 3rd National Champion title having just won the 11-year-old race in the 2022 Cross Country Coaches Youth National Championships a couple of weeks ago.
  • Patricio Pardo – 11-year-old boy – This is Patricio’s 3rd National Champion title having won cross country and 3K titles last fall and last summer.

7LRC had the most individual winners.

  • Luke Roy – 9-year-old boy – 16th place

We had so many great efforts from our athletes, but one stands out for me the most is when Jake Pigott ran almost the entire race without a spike shoe. Just imagine racing in the very muddy, slippery and over stones without a shoe.  I know Jake was disappointed since he wasn’t able to run his best, but the 11/12 boys finished 3rd in the team scoring by one point due to Jake’s incredible toughness! You know the expression…..Taking One For The Team!

Thanks again for an amazing season and putting 7Locks on the Map!

Coach Heilman
